Every Pastoral Family in the NAD Should Be Able to Attend Pastors Family Convention

Because of the value of experiencing the CALLED Pastors Family Convention is so high, partners are gathering together with the goal of making it possible for every pastoral family in the North American Division to attend. How do these partnerships affect the pastoral families? Below are a few questions and answers from NAD Ministerial that help break down the anticipated financial arrangements.

How much will it cost for a family to register for the convention?

The early bird registration rate is in effect through this year:

            Pastor $229, Spouse/Student/Adult PK $169, and child/youth $99

How much will a hotel cost?

We have contracts with seven hotels with nightly rates ranging from $139 to $159.

How much will transportation cost?

Transportation costs vary greatly depending on where you are coming from and how you plan to get there. Lexington is within a day’s drive of over half of the pastors in the NAD. For those who wish to fly, major airlines fly to Lexington, Louisville, and Cincinnati.

Who are the financial partners that are making this convention possible?

Sponsors--Because the value of experiencing the CALLED Pastors Family Convention, many sponsors are stepping up to subsidize the cost of the event.

North American Division—A major subsidy for the CALLED Pastors Family Convention comes from the NAD.

Unions-Most unions will provide financial support to help pastoral families attend. Check with your conference ministerial director to see how it works in your union.

Conferences-Most conferences will help pastoral families attend. Some have saved several years for the convention, some use continuing education budget, and others utilize the budget for worker’s meetings and apply it to the convention. In fact, many conferences will take advantage of the opportunity to have a conference worker’s meeting in Lexington during the convention. Check with your ministerial director to see what arrangements are being made for you in your conference.

Congregations—Many churches will be taking up a collection this October during the Pastoral Appreciation month to thank their pastoral families with a financial gift to help them attend the Pastors Family Convention.

Pastors—Those pastors who chip in some of their own funds to help attend the convention may find it more fulfilling because they will have personally invested in the experience.

The CALLED Pastors Family Convention, sponsored by the North American Division Ministerial Association, is designed to connect, inspire, equip and value pastors and their families in the NAD. Registration is now openand pastoral families who register this year will be able to take advantage of the early bird rate.
