How to Be a Community-Based Church Plant

In this video Pastor Hyveth Williams presents how to plant a community-based church. She explains that a community-based church plant is different from many other church plants. There are several models of church planting: a) the parachute drop model, when a church planter or a family move into a new location to start a church from scratch; b) The mother church plant, when the existing church is the mother church and it provides the initial leadership and resources to start a “daughter” church; c) The cell church, when small groups called cells, meet in homes and multiply using a relational model; d) And a community-based church plant. According to Pastor Williams this is a divinely appointed process of evangelism or outreach to people who are beyond the “choir” (unchurched or unbelievers), that results in the establishment of a new local Christian
