On February 28, 2001 there was a Mardi Gras Riot in Seattle's pioneer square district. A twenty year old college student named Kristopher Kime, from Auburn, Washington went with some friends to have some fun at what was expected to be a wild and crazy night. A young woman was knocked to the ground and Kristopher bent over to help her up. He was struck in the back of the head with a skateboard. As he fell rioters began to kick him. His friends appealed to the police for help but the officers had been forbidden to enter the riot zone. Finally Kristopher's friends carried him to a car and drove him to the hospital where he was placed on life support. He died hours later. He was an organ donor so five people received organs from him. Five years laterhis sister Kirsten was planning her wedding. She was grieving that her brother couldn't be there and thought of the people who received his lungs, kidneys, heart, and liver. She invited them to her wedding. Several came and those who couldn't sent gifts. Kristopher's mother met a man named Larry who had received her son's heart. She hugged him and then put her head next to his chest and listened to her son's heart beating. Galatians 2:20says "...I no longer live but Christ lives in me." God wants us at the wedding supper of the Lamb. HIs son's life is in us.
