Faith and Science Council Trip

Dear Ministerial Director,

The North American Division Office of Education and the General Conference Faith and Science Council, in cooperation with the GC GeoScience Institute is offering a 2017 summer conference on Affirming Creation. Ministerial directors are invited and this conference has a limited seating capacity, so we are asking you to place this on your calendar.

The schedule would be to fly into Las Vegas, Nevada on July 5, 2017. We will provide transportation from the airport to St. George, Utah that afternoon or evening. The meetings begin Thursday July 6, 2017 and you will be transported back to Las Vegas on Friday morning July 14, 2017.

While there, we will plan to meet as a ministerial director’s team. There will be sessions on creation/evolution, philosophy of science, geology, theology and paleontology. We will have two field trips, one to the north rim of the Grand Canyon and one to Zion National park to see and understand the geology of the area as it relates to the age of the earth.

Your financial responsibility will be airfare to and from Las Vegas, Nevada and the organizers will provide food, lodging, entrance fees, and ground transportation. Registration for the event is open and will close registration March 31, 2017. This event has a limited number of seats (300) and we cannot exceed that number, so prompt attention too registration is essential.

If there are a number coming from your institution, there are a limited number of scholarships available, please contact me directly. We are hoping for as many from your institution as possible. To register, go to http://www.2017faithandscience.com/
